There’s more uniform tread contact with the road and reduced risk of sharp objects penetrating the tyre.
Puncture test proves Dueler outperforms competitors
Extensive testing on the A/T 697 tyres has shown that compared to other popular brands the Dueler A/T 697 had the deepest distance of penetration when undergoing puncture testing.
That means it takes more to puncture these tyres than many other all-terrain tyres on the market.

*Testing was conducted as per the Tyre Strength (Breaking Energy) Test as specified in FMVSS119 (US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration – Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 119) where a cylindrical steel plunger with a hemispherical end and a diameter of 19mm is forced perpendicularly into the tread. Tyre size was LT265/75R16 mounted to a 7.5J rim and inflated to 550 kPa.

The seamless connection of the jointless cap ply delivers improved tyre uniformity, meaning Dueler tyres run smoother with less road noise.
The jointless cap ply also helps Dueler tyres to hold their shape at high speeds and improves vehicle stability, tyre strength and durability.
Dueler all terrain and mud tyres are constructed with a dual compound tread for better heat durability – meaning they’re more resistant to accidental damage. The highway and sport tyres feature a silica compound for consistent, exceptional handing in the wet and dry, without compromising on wear life.

Dueler tyres are exhaustively tested in the laboratory and under harsh New Zealand driving conditions.
